Surveillance Training Legal content
All training (Unless requested) is based around evidence gathering. Unlike some training providers who teach intelligence based information gathering we promote evidence gathering from contemplation to crown court.
All input is therefore up to date and in line with UK practice. (For civil/criminal proceedings.) A particular example of this is the subject of surveillance log book keeping. We teach current U.K civilian Police methodology so evidence is admissible in a court of law. This in turn allows joint working capability with other UK law enforcement agencies. (Police, security services, HMCE etc).
Training is in line with the Association of Chief police Officers standards where applicable. (ACPO). We do not teach military coded speech or spot codes (Unless requested). Content is in line with the input to U.K Police teams and covert units.
Trainers
All our trainers have training qualifications and operational experience as well as theoretical knowledge.
We have trained U.K Police, Trading standards, Scambusters and environmental crime units.
We have worked in Iraq, Kabul, Indonesia, Europe teaching overseas forces and the military. Our trainers mainly come from the U.K Police. A ratio of 2 trainers to 10 students is the norm with the exception of mobile surveillance training.
Our trainers HAVE given evidence in a court of Law.
Course equipment
The majority of equipment can be provided by the training team. We encourage pre course discussion and give support in relation to the students pre and post course needs. Covert radios and log books can be provided. We encourage the use of the organisations own equipment on course as much as is possible to ensure operational competence.
Training courses.
A UK Police officer will attend a variety of courses to achieve full competence over several months and will probably be engaged in a selection process. For example mobile surveillance for civilian Police takes 4-5 weeks. We appreciate the abstraction and cost reality for organisations/units so will adapt courses to suit. A modular approach is taken which should be the subject of discussion as required.
